Prior to going the Washington DC for the initial time, a close friend & musical connoisseur, a close friend introduced my ears to Fela Kuti. Music was the weapon for the man. From Nigeria, Fela spoke to injustice and educated through action and music.  Working with a wide range of artist from Ginger Baker to Roy Ayres, Fela battled all the way to the end, all the while keeping his sartorial values consistent and fitted.
